Seasonal Variations
There are different seasons of the year. Many of which are globally accepted and celebrated. Create content around these seasons and connect them to your brand’s story. For instance, the “Ember Months” is one dreaded period in many parts of Nigeria, about a year ago, I created this content about it and how you can maximize its opportunities. National and International events also fit in here, like this post on the International youth’s day.
Provocative Topics
If you have been a loyal follower of BeInspired Show, you know already about our hustle series. One polarized topic on the series that caused a lot of debate has been about “a woman’s equality to man”. However, while this is absolute truth, some persons honestly think it is controversial. Polemic content are a great way to stare conversation and engagement with an audience.

Myth Busting
There are many life and business myths that need to be examined. Eg ‘under promise and over deliver’, I would rather over promise and over deliver, another is “keeping your product or services cheap, so that many persons can afford it”, truth is, some persons will never buy from you just because it is cheap. And even when you make your product free, not everybody will still get. I recommend you focus on your customers and the prices that works for them. There are several other business myth, help your audience dispel them.
Trending Topic
Many celebrities leverage on trend in developing content for their brands. You too can. There is always something trending in the online space at every given time. Give an intelligent opinion on relevant trends and connect it to your brand’s story.

The year will always come and go. Summarizing important happenings of the year is a great source of developing content ideas. Predicting also the coming year with research-based fact. For instance, lessons from the 2020 covid 19 pandemic would be great as the year’s end draws near. Reviewing and summarizing highlights of major events also works perfectly here. Like these highlights of the first Headstart Africa Summit by John Obidi.
One Quick Tip
Jot down every single idea immediately it cross your mind. Never procrastinate to a later date. Trust me, you will forget and may never get it back. Create a new page or list on your phone note book, I recommend you use Evernote, title the page “ideas for ‘use your business name”. There are brilliant ideas flying around every time. Once you get a gig, head over to that page and jot it down immediately! You could flesh it out that moment or at a later date. But first, jot down your ideas, and you will hardly ever run out of content ideas.
