These were my best apps in 2019, and I’m sure you will find them relevant in the coming year. As a matter of fact, these apps will make your personal development goals easy! A goal you keep smashing if you want to be and remain at the top!
Here we go…!!
Wow, this app has been a lifesaver. I remember when I started out as a writer and content creator. I didn’t know about Evernote then, I would write my ideas on my personal jota, then start rewriting directly to my blog or my timeline. Such tenuous work. Even though at the beginning I didn’t find it so tenuous. I was so engrossed with creating value than I was about the stress. But you know, with time, the stress begin to dawn on me. And then, I discovered Evernote. Do you even know, at a time, I thought writing with pen and paper is in fact the best and only way I can write. I felt writing with my phone or laptop will be strenuous and inspiration may not flow as much. How wrong anyone could be!
Let me tell you, there is always an easy and more productive way to do things. Don’t come and kill yourself o.. Lolzz. But joke aside, Evernote has helped me in more ways than I can describe. I write all my blog post on my Evernote app, When I get inspiration like this, even if I am walking along the road, in a taxi or even inside the restroom, so long as I have my phone with me, I quickly write it down on my Evernote app.
And when you forget to save, and leaves the app, it automatically save by itself. My fast selling book Power Content, do you know I wrote more than half of it in my Evernote? Yes! and my WPS.
You can save links too and access the web directly from the app.
It also gives you the statistics of your write up, how many paragraphs you have written, how many words and characters. Just click on the menu button by your right and you have various features the app provides you.
Evernote is an app for every writer and content developer. And as I shared in one of my recent blog posts, writing is a skill you must acquit yourself with. This is not the era to say I am not a writer. Learn the skill and art of writing. And the best way to do that is just write! Document and create content around your daily experience, write your own story.
This is my second best app in 2019. It made reading easy for me. WPS is the mobile version of MS Word. While some persons prefer the Google doc, which serve the same purpose, for some very good reason, (have been using it for years 😍), hence, WPS comes in handy for me.
Think of an app you want to quickly download when you get a new phone. WPS is it for me. It is an app for every reader and writer! There is no file you can’t read using WPS. You can also save your file directly on cloud store as you can with the Google doc.
You can send your document directly from this app to your gmail, or other media.
Also, and very importantly, this app provides lots of templates for you. Whether for your CV, your letter, proposals, etc. All you need do is download for free and edit. You could also go premium on the app.
Now this one is really funny to me, because somehow it’s not supposed to be on the list, considering I have greater and more beautiful apps. But it really feels cool whenever I’m checking the meaning of a new word or an unfamiliar word. I just can’t pass an unknown word without checking the meaning, very rare. And my English dictionary comes in handy.
There is hardly a day I don’t visit the app; It gives me the right pronunciation as well. As a content creator, you must master the use of English. And the best way to do that is to stay very close and friendly with your dictionary. Google helps a lot too.
Gangangangan… Did you hear that sound, if you did not, then you have not been enjoying Nollywood. 😂😂 YouTube has been my research ground! Google is great too, especially when I don’t even have to type. I just say the word, and Google finds me what I want.
You can learn almost anything on YouTube. This app is rich with great content. I learnt how to edit videos using Adobe Premiere on this app, a friend of mine learnt how to create 3D animation from this app. See, if you have not taught yourself anything from YouTube, let that be one of your goals in 2020! Super pack platform! Maximize it.
I’m sure I’m still going to enjoy these platforms in the coming year. But I’m already seeing some very powerful apps and platform that will greatly make 2020 worthwhile… Just recently, the Podcast and TED apps are gaining ground as one of my favourite apps too. These are super relevant learning platforms for 2020. You can also create your own Podcast, a lot of persons are gravitating towards these platforms already. For obvious reasons, people are getting busier by the day, with less attention span, hence, they want something they can learn from, while they are still able to do other things simultaneously.
I hope this guide you.
