Improve your online visibility using the KLT factor.
In today’s digital world, people are loyal to the brand they trust! But here is the good news. Building a trusted brand has never been this easy!
The KLT factors.
While you are learning the art of content creation for digital and social media, the KLT is an underlining rule that governs this great art.
An acronym for Know, Like and Trust – KLT
First rule, show up and be KNOWN!
No matter how good your product is, how skillful and competent you are, no one will patronize you if they don’t know you.
The bedrock of getting known is learning how to develop great content and showing up strong. As I always say, your content is you.
The more we see your content, the more we know you.
A lot of time, people don’t show up because they don’t know what to put up here. Some try for a while and later they give up!
You can’t afford to do that.
As food is to the physical world, prayers and Bible study to the spiritual world, so is content to the digital world.
I know this, because I have been blogging for more than two years. And I have helped to manage the digital presence of many brands.
The more of it (content) you have, the more you excel on this space!
Get talking about your work.

I used to be in the categories of people who don’t talk too much.
I have done a lot and still doing so much and will continue to do more. I was born for Impact!
But you see, we were playing the humble card, until I began to see people who haven’t even done a scratch of what I have done, (now this is not a bragging something, it is stating the fact), this guys would scream to our face and ears what they have done. And they were winning.
Long story short, Mercy Omoregie has learnt to talk. And I went a bit further, I choose my niche in talking and writing!!
I recommend this to you, (it is tested and trusted). Start talking about your works!
What do you know that could be of help to someone? It does not have to be complex, simple things matters even more.
The difference between content creation and just uploading anything up here is strategy!
A Content Strategist is strategic about every move, targeted at specific or definite end result –

Every word, every picture, every story, every audio and video is relevant and to a great course.
Now the “L” factor
Help your audience LIKE your brand.
It is one thing for you to show up online and be KNOWN, it is another thing for people to like you and prefer to work with you.
If I were you, I would consider “like” here as respect and not some emotional thing.
One way to know that you like a person is that you respect and value that person. That’s what we are talking about here.
Now, how do you make people like respect and value you?
Two points:
- First, take a stand in a matter.
I used to say avoid polemic content. But not anymore. As much as you can embrace it. What you should avoid is neither being here nor there.
As scripture puts it, don’t be lukewarm! Even God will spit you out.
If you like being hot, stay hot, those who like hot things will come for you, If you prefer being cold, be cold as ice, there are numerous non-eskimos who would love you for it. But whatever you do, take a stand!
- Second, tell your story.
I cannot overemphasize the place of storytelling in building a likeable brand. Stories help your audience connect with you.
We all have a story to tell, and we all love stories.
Telling your story is not just about the past, documenting your process and daily activities is a great gain.
Don’t be afraid of being vulnerable. In the real sense, vulnerability is power.
Help your audience like you more by taking a stand and telling your story!

Last on the KLT factor.
The letter ‘T’ which represents TRUST.
The entire essence of developing content and showing up is to ultimately build a trusted brand.
People have seen you overtime, they KNOW you, they LIKE your story and they TRUST you enough to do business with you.
But how exactly do you build trust?
Two ways:
- Be Authentic and
- Consistent
Authenticity is saying what you can do and doing it.
Consistency is keeping at it, doing it over and over again!
In developing content from now, let this strategy guide you – The KLT factor.
Show up strong with great content. Tell a story that resonates with your audience. Be authentic and consistent.
I encourage you to start developing those beautiful content. Don’t be weary and do not ever give up!
