The World’s Big Brother. What Went on!
Everything comes with a price. Many times, you have to pay the price, other times, someone else had paid for you.
“Hey Big Brother, I had a bad dream last night, don’t go anywhere, stay in the house, please.” “Why?” came the response. “So you could avoid anything bad that could have happened”.
Sammy’s Big Bro laughs.. Taps his younger brother on the shoulders, “what if my going out today could make a difference in someone’s life and change the world?
Sammy looks at his bro and with so much love and concern says; “but you must be safe”. “Yes, Sammy, I will be safe. But most importantly, you and our other brothers and sisters will be saved”.
Sammy’s face lit with smiles of hope.

Then came the big hard bang on the door that gets everyone shaking except The Big Bro. Sam is too frozen to move, Phillip runs out and opens the door. Before he could ask who it was, the soldiers pushed him aside and entered the room.
Who amongst you is The Big Brother? Came the harsh, intimidating voice?
Sammy gets upset. He is still dealing with his temper. “How dare you barge into our house and ask silly questions!?”
“Stay calm Sammy”, Big Brother says. “Yes Mr Soldier, I am their Big Bro”.
Take him! Came the immediate command.
Sammy could not believe his ears nor his eyes. He remembers his dream that night, and before he could recover from his thoughts, his Big Brother is dragged and whipped out along the street.
Everyone is scared now and run for dare life.

Some people in town join the raid and mockery, “I thought He is The Big Bro, why can’t He save Himself?” They laugh.
Others try to find out what The Good Big Brother finally did wrong, but found nothing in Him.
Why the torture, why the pain, why this death?
While they are still asking questions, this fine man is beaten to stupor, dressed in rags and pierced with a crown of thorns. Blood drips down his head. He is nailed to the cross and hung.
And just before he gave up the ghost, he declared with all authority: “It is finished!” Sin, Sickness, fear, shame, death, all gone with the cross.
The killers still did not understand, thinking they were done with any form of good on the earth.
But no, it was all Big Brother’s plan.
To seal the deal, at exactly the third day, the grave was shaken, death was defeated, and victory is gain!
And with eternal life for all men who believe, Christ is risen!

For your salvation and redemption, the price is paid in full!
So many things went on with and on the cross, Christ bore the pain, took the shame, became the sacrifice and paid the highest price that we may gain freedom! This Grace we now enjoy.”
He became the firstborn among many brethren. His name is Jesus! Our Lord, our Saviour, Redeemer and The only Big Brother!!!
Happy Easter celebration to you and your household. May you experience the marvel of the cross, Grace!!!
