Africa is blessed with great potentials of young people. Statistics proves that over 60% of Africa’s population is under 25. According to Staci Warden, Secretary of the Milken Institute, “This century is Africa’s century. Whether we like it or not, it is dictated to us demographically to be so”, further stating that the median age of Africa is 19.1 years.
Why this could mean a great opportunity for the nearest future, it could also mean drastic disaster if measures are not taken to positively empower these young people to be creative, innovative, productive and independent.
BeInspired Show team lead by Mercy Omoregie sees the future here and joins in partnership with Mrs Glory Omoregie, CEO of Kisse soap and Convener of “Make it Yourself” to ensure that deliberate steps are taken to train and raise young people of Africa enhancing decent work and economic development, the number 8 goal of the UNDP 17 sustainable development goals in Africa as well as the rest of the world.
One step at a time, if we join force together, we can make Africa a better place to live in. We hope to continue and we hope also that you join us!
