Entrepreneurship is all about creativity and innovation, true entrepreneurs are always on the look out for new/innovative ways to do things.
Why do you think many businesses fail and decrease in market value? Many times it’s just one answer, lack of innovation or slow in embracing what’s new. From Nokia to BlackBerry to Yahoo and lots more.
No matter how good a product is, if entrepreneurs does not look for creative measures to stay relevant, just a little time is all it needs to fade off and kicked out of business.
Before we talk about Facebook, let us look at the popular Guinness malt. When Amstel malt came up, people thought it better with it low sugar content yet less expensive. The switch from Guinness to Amstel was booming fast. This could have remained so why Guinness completely fades off. And a reduction in the price of Guinness would have made it worst, it would only have confirmed that, oh, yeah.. Amstel is truly better after all, so quickly, they innovated a new product, ‘Dubic malt’ which could compete with the fast growing Amstel. And that was a life saver for Guinness. If they had not taken that innovative step, they would have been kicked out of market in no time. I guess the human mind is always on the look out for something new, perhaps the reason why change is the only constant thing. I believe this applies for individuals too, and of course SME’s we must keep answering that question, “what’s new?” “How can we do this differently?” “How can we make things better?”
How about Facebook? Why do you think they keep bringing up new features, why do you think Mark Zuckerberg bought WhatsApp? It all boils down to understanding how the human mind works. We are always looking for something new. We always want to see that change that awes us. Sometimes, it may not even make sense, but just because we’ve not seen it before, or we are not used to it, it becomes wonders. There is more to talk about regarding this, like how do we remain innovative, especially when it’s financially demanding? Watch out for it!
For us at BeInspired Show, here is what’s new: Timi Dakolo’s wife Busola Dakolo allegedly accuse the COZA leader Biodun Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was a teen. Kai! This is not funny o, especially as that family is one of those popular celebrity I respect, just like Banky W and Adesua. Secondly why is nobody talking about AFCON? Are they not playing the Africa match? Lol
