I have been speaking in a number of virtual summit and conferences this period, one of the frequently asked question is “How Do You Create Great Content?”
While we will answer that question, you must first understand the essence/importance of the Internet and how it works.

Without a doubt, there is so much that has been done and you can do on the Internet.
There is so much you can do here!!
This highway is endless, and along it you could build massive structures that anybody anywhere around the globe can access and pay you for.
Think of great brands who have dominated this space, Google, Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, AirB&B, Uber. These are mighty structures that have been built along this highway – The Internet.
As you travel, journey, surf and browse along this highway, they are always calling and enticing your attention. And because you need them, you pay for them!

But first, you must understand how the Internet works.

The Internet is all about Content.
Without content, the Internet is empty as space. Content is what gives the Internet life!
Just as humans make up the physical world, spirits the spiritual world, so does content make up the digital world!
The quality of your content determines the value of your brand, and as you may already know, value is equal to cash!!
Now, before we dig deep, I will not assume you already know this.
If you are here, and do not have a standard, reputable, presentable digital presence. You do not know the tragedy of that. Honestly.
That you can read this right now means you have access to the Internet, hence building a valuable digital presence is something you can easily do.
So quickly, before anything else, have an overhaul of your digital and social media presence.
And I like to say this:
There is absolutely nothing you cannot promote and sell on the Internet. Nothing!
You can build a brand on the Internet with almost nothing and it will go global!!
And if you already have a business, why are you not visible online??
I love to always share this story of one of my client. They run a company that produces Greek Yogurt. I mean, what you would call ordinary yogurt, right?
They reached out to me and said they wanted to build an online presence for their company, a yogurt producing company. Fantastic!
I took the job. After setting up their different online account, including a Google My Business Profiling, I began the process of content development for the brand.
It will amaze you, how people from different parts of Nigeria; Lagos, Abuja, Port-harcourt, Delta, Benin were ordering for Yogurt online!
These were my target audience and the places they were ready to scale to. The calls and orders just kept coming, some even wanted to be distributors of the Yogurt in their states.
It was absolutely amazing, because this is a product you could easily walk into any supermarket or shopping mall and buy. Why order from online??
While doing my research, I discovered there are other many yogurt brands scaling and making sales online.
What do you have to sell?
What are you selling?
Do you have an online presence?
What are your strategies to remain visible online?
What are your content development strategies?
People ask Google for anything these days. They would rather ask Google than ask their parents, their spouse, a brother or a friend.
The question is when people make searches on Google, or any of the online platform relating to what you can do or what you have to offer. Will they find you?
How do you become visible online, how do you build an audience and go global using the Internet, the answer as we have already established is right before you.
CONTENT!
Now the popular question, what exactly is content and how do you create valuable, compelling and engaging one?
Your content on the Internet is YOU! it is what people know about you. Whatever you put up here becomes the YOU that we know and can relate with. Your content shapes and define the perception people have of you.

Moving forward, how do you develop great content for your market audience?
There are more than seven stages you must consider in creating content Online, but to keep this brief, I will focus on two key factors you can implement immediately and get results.
- First, craft your niche and master everything possible in your chosen niche, A niche is a focused, small and specific area in your industry that you deliver or serve particularly well.

As The Profitable Firm puts it: “The whole point of a niche is to ‘target’ your marketing (particularly your content and message) so that the right sort of people will come to you – and the wrong sort will go away.”
What is your chosen niche and how much do you know about that niche? Can we call you an expert in your niche?
- Second, know your audience and know what they want. Who are your audience? What questions are people asking about your niche, what problem are they trying to solve in that area? Create content that answers those questions and help solve those problems and you are on your way to global dominance!!!
Developing great content is developing content your audience want help in.
“You know what your audience want by researching. Start with Google trend and websites like answerthepublic”.
People always say: “you can’t serve everybody, focus on your audience” while that is very true, the easiest and the only way to serve everybody is to be an expert and be known for a specific niche or industry.
That way, “everybody” who needs help in that field can easily reach or refer you.
You establish your expertize and authority in a particular niche or industry by creating relevant valuable content useful to your audience.
